POSITION TITLE: Shipping & Receiving Clerk STATUS: Non-exempt DEPARTMENT: Material Control REPORTS TO: Supply Chain Manager
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Prepare items for shipment, including assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping material; receiving, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Process production orders from the floor by counting and checking accuracy
Receive deliveries
Package orders securely
Ship to customers using UPS, FedEx or other acceptable means of transportation as approved by management
Processes end-of-day reports
Other duties as assigned

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic math skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to pay attention to details

Must be bondable
Must be able to safely operate a forklift
Must be reliable and dependable; ready and able to work at the start of each shift
Ability to work with minimum supervision
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED, and/or two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Control preferred. Manufacturing and forklift experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, write, do basic math, and communicate effectively.
Work Environment:
The work environment is of moderate temperature, sterile environment with a moderately loud noise level, hearing protection is required. Gloves must be worn and changed frequently and continuously throughout the day. Work may be performed near moving mechanical parts dependent upon task.
